The results are in for the Patriotic Photography Contest!

Thank you to all those that supported this Contest ... the artists that sent submissions, the judges, the prize donors and all the many people who gave their unexpected time by featuring this contest and some of the artists throughout DA!!! This was the first contest for *DigDug71 and =beccainlayton and was a complete success and inspiration to us both and hopefully many of you in the community as well.

I'm an aspiring photographer, mother of two and military spouse. I've only just taken up photography as a serious hobby when I bought my first digital SLR this year. Although, I've used point-and-shoot cameras for years and I have thousands of pictures in containers all over my house, I didn't think I was any good at it or that it could be a relaxing hobby of mine, but boy am I wrong. I love it! I'm taking classes and learning as much as I can from all of you.
